Look for epic heroes in these books.

If you can, watch them in movie form and compare.


Notice a similarity between Stanley and Zero's relationship and Frodo and Sam's relationship in Lord of the Rings.

Lord of the Rings

If you get started reading  The Fellowship of the Rings  you will notice a lot of connections between characters.   Here's a good visual reference to the movie actors who play the characters: Lord of the Rings Fandom Different friendships spring up.  Frodo/Sam Legolas/Gimli Merry/Pippin Aragorn/Legolas In this story, Sam takes care of Frodo.  However, Sam is afraid of everything, especially being up high.  Even so, he is very brave.  Consider this excerpt: {description of Sam} “Before Frodo could stop him, he sat down, swung his legs over the brink, and twisted round, scrabbling with his toes for a foothold.
